Dr. Stephen L. Rose
Founder and President of Rose Imaging Specialists, P.A., Houston’s largest group of breast imaging specialists, providing Houston with state of the art early detection of breast cancer.
Dr. Rose is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. His residency in Diagnostic Radiology was completed at the University of Texas at Houston, including training at M.D. Anderson, Texas Children’s. Hermann and St. Joseph’s hospital of Houston, Texas. He is a board certified, nationally known breast radiologist, and has dedicated his practice to the diagnosis of early breast cancer for almost two decades. Doing this has placed him on the forefront of the implementation of state of the art breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsies. Receiving the “Susan G. Komen & BMW Ultimate Drive Hero” award, he was featured in the Smithsonian Institution in the year 2000. Dr. Rose also received “Physician of the Year” from Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in 2007. Recently Dr. Rose has been part of a multi-center national trial investigating an exciting new form of 3d mammography called digital breast tomosynthesis. No other sites in Houston have experienced this new technology. Dr. Rose has been in private practice in Houston, Texas since 1986.

Dr. Louis J. Bujnoch
A native Houstonian, Dr. Bujnoch brings many years of imaging experience and innovation to our group. He is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical School at Houston where he also completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology where he was chief resident. He was granted his board certification in 1980. Before joining Rose Imaging Specialists, Dr. Bujnoch originally worked with Dr. Rose for over fifteen years. During this time the two of them began focusing their energies on the detection of early breast cancer. Dr. Bujnoch is recognized for his clinical excellence, and now continues his work with Rose Imaging Specialists, P.A.

Dr. Melissa O'Toole
Dr. O’Toole received her BA in Human Biology from Stanford University and afterwards helped develop new pharmaceuticals which enhance MRI imaging. She obtained her MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston where she also completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology, serving as Chief Resident during her senior year of residency. She is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She received America’s Top Radiologist award by the Consumer’s Research Council of America in 2002-2003. She is especially interested in the genetic basis of breast cancer and enjoys helping patients understand their breast cancer risks.

Dr. Anne C. Kushwaha
Dr. Kushwaha graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1988. She graduated second in her class in medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1992. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at University of Southern California in 1997. Her interest in breast imaging and her desire to return to her hometown of Houston, led her to a breast imaging fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 1998. She stayed on at MD Anderson as Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Imaging from 1998-2005 and served as the director of M.D. Anderson’s breast imaging fellowship from 2003-2005. She joined the Rose Imaging Specialists team in May 2005. She is currently the medical director of the Memorial Hermann Southwest Breast Center.

Dr. Mary F. Ice
Dr. Mary F. Ice was born and raised in Puerto Rico; where she completed her degree in doctor of medicine as Magna Cum Laude at the University of Puerto Rico. Based on her bilingual skills, she chose to do her residency in Diagnostic Imaging here in Houston, at the University of Texas. During her time in residency, she realized the close contact with patients that Breast Imaging required and was subsequently drawn to continue a fellowship in this field. She finished her Breast Imaging fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2003. Dr. Ice has been in private practice since 2003 working as part of a team in a comprehensive breast center environment. She is currently the Medical Director at the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Bobetta Linding Breast Center.

Dr. Marian E. Bonner
Dr. Marian Bonner received her BA in Psychobiology from Wellesley College in 1983. In 1987, she obtained her MD from Duke University School of Medicine and then completed a diagnostic radiology residency at New York University Medical Center in 1992. Dr. Bonner is board certified and was an Ivor Fix Fellow in Breast Imaging at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida. She has many years of experience in the subspecialty of breast imaging. Prior to joining Rose Imaging Specialists, Dr. Bonner was an assistant professor of radiology at the University of Texas – Houston Health Science Center and director of the Memorial Hermann Breast Center.

Dr. Amy Nordmann
Amy Nordmann, M.D. received a full-tuition scholarship from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She served as president of her medical school class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. A former All-American and NCAA champion volleyball player. Dr. Nordmann completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, becoming board certified in 2004. Dr. Nordmann pursued fellowship training in Breast Imaging and served as Clinical Instructor at the Washington University School of Medicine/MIR for two years before joining Rose Imaging Specialists, P.A. in the spring of 2007. Dr. Nordmann was recently inducted into the CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame, and was the featured radiologist in the September/October 2007 issue of the American College of Radiology’s ACR bulletin newsletter.

Dr. Russell Sexton, Jr.
Dr. Sexton is a board certified breast imaging specialist with a public health background. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Public Health Science from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He served as an epidemiologist at both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the State of Georgia Division of Public Health in Atlanta. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University's Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and served as Chief Resident in Diagnostic Radiology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center of Miami Beach, Florida. Dr. Sexton is dedicated to advancing the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

Dr. Eric Solomon
Dr. Solomon is a graduate of Cape Town University Medical School in Cape Town, South Africa. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where he was Chief Resident. As an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve and subsequently University of Texas at Houston he specialized in body imaging and was a contributing author to textbooks on the subject. He was later affiliated with Baylor College of Radiology and became Radiology Department Chief at the VA Hospital Houston. His intense interest in Breast Imaging and Intervention became a full time endeavor, and he joined Rose Imaging Specialists primarily because the group had established a reputation for excellence and compassion, within the medical community. Dr. Solomon is board certified and has practiced in Houston since 1981.

Dr. Debra Butler
Dr. Butler graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, School of Medicine in 1990, and completed her residency, as Chief Resident in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California, Irvine, Medical Center. With an avid interest in breast radiology, Dr. Butler continued her training by completing a fellowship in Women’s Imaging at Long Beach Memorial Breast Center. During her fellowship, she spent time in Falun, Sweden training with the World-renowned mammographer Dr. Lazlo Tabar. Dr. Butler has devoted her entire medical career to the field of breast imaging. She was awarded the Heart and Soul Award “for excellence in the fight against breast cancer” from Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2004, and is an image reviewer for the Mammography Accreditation program through the American College of Radiology. Dr. Butler moved to Texas in 2002 to join Rose Imaging Specialist’s, P.A. With her she brings much experience and enthusiasm in the detection of early breast cancer.

Dr. Rui Song
Dr. Song is a Board Certified Radiologist with subspecialty expertise in Women’s imaging. Her fellowship training includes MRI application in breast disease, imaging-guided procedures, breast ultrasound and mammography. She is interested in early detection of breast cancer. After graduating from the medical school at Case Western Reserve University, she completed her diagnostic radiology residency and Women's imaging fellowship in Emory University Hospital. Dr. Song is an active member of the American College of Radiology, and Radiological Society of North America. Her personal interests include outdoor activities, classic music, and spending time with her families and friends.

Dr. Erin Winston
Dr. Winston is a board certified radiologist and breast imaging specialist. As a native Texan, she accomplished all of her medical training within the Lone Star State. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin Plan II Honors Program in 1999. She received her medical doctorate at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2004 where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She went on to the University of Texas at Houston to fulfill her radiology residency. There, she developed a passion for women's health and a determination to fight breast cancer. After completing a dedicated breast imaging fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, she joined Rose Imaging Specialists. Dr. Winston is both proud and grateful to devote her life and career to such a noble cause and with such incredible colleagues.

Dr. Anupama Shultz
Dr. Shultz is a board certified radiologist and fellowship trained breast imaging specialist. She received her medical degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2001, where she graduated with honors. Dr. Shultz was contributing author of publications in myeloma and breast cancer research. While in medical school, Dr. Shultz was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor’s Society and recipient of the American Medical Women’s Association Janet M. Glasgow Achievement Citation. Dr. Shultz went on to complete a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas in 2006, followed by a Breast Imaging Fellowship at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology/Washington University School of Medicine in 2007. Dr. Shultz was in private practice prior to joining Rose Imaging Specialists in 2011. Dr. Shultz feels privileged to join this group of esteemed colleagues that shares a passion for the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.
